Card recipe!

Posted by Unknown at 12:40 AM 7 comments
Are you all in a turkey and shopping coma? I didnt do much shopping but I did do a lot of turkey eating. I did take a break to do the Friends of speedy tv challenge which is a card recipe. One layer, two colors and three embellies. What a fun challenge! I used this beautiful amaryllis from Marks Finest Papers,a Heinrich Co. One layer is usually so bold and pretty but often forgotten because us crafters wanna layer on all the goodies. What can you do with this recipe?

This is my card for the TGF pay it forward challenge. I love this company. They are so giving and I love the idea of this. I know a couple of people who have had really hard years this year so this is great. I used my favorite stamp from them called Cheeky Shooter! Shes soooo my style and I love this ribbon I found to go with her.

* On the Fly stamp setWOW, way to challenge me FOSTV! This week the challenge is to make a scrapbook page which I havn't done in about two years. I busted out these pictures from a drawer ( full of pictures that I wantd to scrap when I used to be a scrap-o-holic, pre card-o-holic days). These pictures were taken of Tony, my dad and I up at a beautiful lake close to our house called Lake Pillsbury. They have good bass fishing there! I used this awesome new set from Marks Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. Called On The Fly. Its so right up my alley. You know I love fishing! Join us this week by making a scrapbooking page and you could win an awesome stamp set. This has inspired me to pull out more pics and get scrappin. Nobody likes to dig through photos in a drawer. They deserve to put in albums.

Make your own background

Posted by Lena Nunn at 12:46 PM 0 comments
Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend before having to return back to the dreaded Monday. Boooo! At least I got to do some stamping over the weekend, including this card for the farm fresh challenge on The Greeting Farm. I used Blush Bettie from the Blush Society. She was stamped on Kraft paper and colored in with prismacolor pencils. She was also paper pieced. I made the snowflake background using a cheapy $1. 00 stamp from Michaels and pacific point ink. The flowers were also from the $1.00 bin ( hey I know I'm cheap! haha). I love how this card turned out and I am so glad I got to play along.
