I'm back after a week long vacation at my brothers. It was awesome but i'm happy to be back to stamping. This week the Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge is to use tissue paper so I decided to make a stamped candle (you use tissue paper to make them). I love doing these as they are so easy and make great gifts. I used the Mothers Magnolias set from Marks Finest Papera,a Heinrich Co. What can you do with tissue paper? Join us this week for a chance to win an awesome stamp set!!

Snow Globe

Good thing we had a snow challenge for Speedy Fox and Friends because unfortunatly where I live we hardly ever have snow if any. Its so sad :(. I know those of you who live in snowy areas are probably going " BITE YOUR TONGUE" but I love snow!!!! When I made this card the snow glob look snow swirled and vintage but after It dried it just looks like a little kid colored it. HAHAH thats ok. You win some you lose some. I love the idea I just need to work on the coloring of the inside of the globe. Maybe you should show me how its done and play along with us this week because there is an awesome stamp set up for grabs!!! There isn't just this challenge either! Marks Finest Papers, A Heinrich CO. has fun challenges going on all week!

Christmas Flower

Posted by Lena Nunn at 10:00 PM 6 comments
Its getting closer to Christmas! I'm so excited I was more than happy to do the challenge for Speedy Fox and Friends this week which was to make a card for Christmas in Red and green. I wanted to use this new set called Amaryllis Definition by Marks Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co. I just love Amaryllis. I love the fact that you sit one in a pot and give it little care and in a few short week have these HUGE flowers. A couple years ago my friend gave me one that was red and white. It was sooo pretty so I colored mine to look like that one. Ive had that green shimmery paper for about three years ( hey I warned you in the beginning that I'm a paper hoarder).

Happy Mail

Posted by Lena Nunn at 9:05 AM 1 comments
I've been sending a lot of happy mail lately. I mean lets face it, thats why I got into stamping in the first place. So I could send hand written snail mail to loved ones. Sadly I make tons of cards and don't send out many because they get sold or given away. Its time I started writing to friends again. I just got this set from My Favorite Things called Happy Mail. Its so stinkin cute and perfect for happy mail that I decided to follow their sketch and enter their Guest DT contest. I wanted to make this lil girl 3-D and paper pieced so I did. I love how she turned out. Here is a close up look so you can see her more closely. I had so much fun playing along and can't wait to do more fun cards with the darling set!

Hi Friends! Sure hope you all arn't flooding like its been doing here! I just wanted to do a quick post of a card I did awhile back for a friend of mine. I love this stamp set from My Favorite Things. It has different things you can put in the basket and its so fun to color! I wanted to do an irregular fold so I used the SU top note for the card "doors".

Wine charms for Christmas

Poinsettia Blooms stamp setThe challenge over at FOSTV this week is Christmas! How fun , as I just made these wine charms using the Poinsetta Blooms stamp set from Marks Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co. I made these charms by stamping the big poinsetta on shrink plastic. I then cut them out. Punches a hole in them and then heated to shrink. Once they were shrunk I added wire . I love how they turned out and I can't wait to use them for Christmas. Join us this week with your Christmas creations for a chance to win an awesome stamp set!

It just retired so i'm so glad I snagged it while I could. I made this card for my dear friend Amanda for her birthday. She LOVED it ( or so she said haha).
