Butterfly Card For Nigel

Posted by Lena Nunn at 9:21 AM 2 comments

I own a butterfly farm ( ) that sells butterflies for weddings, funerals, schools etc. A very good friend of my mom and I who has helped us get the business off the ground and who is the scientific advisor for the IBBA ( international butterfly breeders assoc) is very sick . So I made him this card. I know its really not very masculine but when you love butterflies as much as him you'd rather your card have butterflies instead of a car or other manly thing. I used the vintage vogue set and the beautiful butterflies (retired) set. The picture was taken inside of our flight house.

Just believe

Happy Monday ( if there is such a thing?!?) . I used my just believe set again last night and this was the outcome. I colored in the image using my Stampin Write Markers ( how did I live without them?) and then misted the image with water to give it a more watercolored look. I also used melon mambo DP on the card which I love!

You rock my socks cards

Posted by Lena Nunn at 8:55 AM 0 comments

Its a common fact with my friends that I say " that rocks my socks " or "you rock my socks". I don't know where I picked it up from but my friend Linda bought me a stamp that says " you rock my world" and I knew I just had to use it "my style" so I inked up the you rock my and then used socks from a baby set I have. I think they are pretty stinkin cute !

Here is another christmas card that I did in order to get a jump on the tons I need. This stamp is an Elzybells ( they are going out of business), that I got through wish RAK. I love this lil santa and reindeer.

Life isn't sweet right now but I have sweet friends!

Posted by Lena Nunn at 10:59 AM 0 comments

I have a lot going on right now in life and I have been stressed because of it so my amazing friends Emily and Linda bought me this stamp the other day. It sums them up perfectly! They have been so sweet to me I have adopted them as family :)
Thank you Linda and Emily for being such good friends to me lately and listening to me vent and letting me stamp with you guys for hours on end multiple times a week. You have touched my heart with your kindness ..

Trying out my new punch

Posted by Lena Nunn at 10:57 AM 0 comments

The Michaels Store (the happiest place on earth) in our town had a bunch of MS punches on clearance the other day so I snagged me up this one. I love it!! You can see where I messed it up a little on two sides but hey im getting used to it! I used the heartfelt thanks set for the flower in the middle and voila ! done card!

Error Error my card didnt turn out

I really love this retired set called Heartfelt Thanks. It is a two step set and is so easy and elegant. I messed this card up when I stamped the sentiment ( which is a stamp I got from my awsome friend Emily who is a Ippity demo) . As you can see the words didnt show up like they are supposed to ( because I was talkin to long in between inkin and stampin) but it kind of looks appropriate for the card since it looks old.
Stamps: Heartfelt Thanks (su) sentiment (ippity)
INk: old olive, garden gree, pumpkin pie, summer sun
Paper: SU pumpkin Pie, Garden Green

Build A Monster preschool Folders

Posted by Lena Nunn at 8:30 AM 1 comments
My lil cousin Evan is starting preschool so he needed a folder that held a half sheet of paper ( he has a small backpack) so I made these mini folders using cut down file folders and Pumpkin Pie DP ( he likes orange) . I stamped the monsters using the Build a Monster set and colored with watercolors. Hope he loves them and school!

Brights Tea folders

I was a busy girl this weekend! We had the twins and I made some cards. Whoo hoo! Yay me for having stamping time :)

I made 15 tea cards for my neighbor to send to her friends. I used the Brights DP paper and the Mourning cup set with the Take a Sip Wheel.

The inside holds two tea bags and looks like this!

Candles and Lip balm projects

My cousin Jammie ( has a bakery and does wedding cordinating so she had me make these candles for a wedding she is doing . As you can see they are using lots of lighthouses. Super simple and super fun to make !!!

If you would like a candle with an image and name like these shown I make them for $15.00 each.

Arn't these candles stinkin cute? My little cousin is having a Jungle Safari birthday this year (his 4th) so his mom ( Jammie) is going to put these up ( since it will be mostly adults at party).

These are so homemade lip balms I made for my cousin. They are Raspberry lemonade and orange creamscicle flavor. Yum-O!

I need to " Just Believe"

Posted by Lena Nunn at 8:48 AM 0 comments

Why is it when I get new stamps life gets hectic and I can't play? Why ? Why ? WHY? I was just about ready to scream from stress (bills, rent, job etc) when Tony told me I need to stamp . So I darted upstairs to my stamp desk before I lost my mind and this is what I made.

At first I wasnt sure about this card I made using the Just Believe set. Now the more I look at it the move I love it! I used my new In Color Markers (how did I live before these markers?!?) to color in the stamps. After it was done I ran it through the big shot in my new embossing folder and VOILA!

I have a friend at work who loves black coffee from McD's so the other day I got her one and left it on her desk with this little card. I noticed after I did it that coffee isnt really made in a pot like that and maybe I should have used the karraffe (spelling?) stamp instead of kettle. Oh well. She got the point. I used my new In Color markers to color them in and watercolor.
