Not a big fan of Skunks anymore...

Posted by Lena Nunn at 10:05 AM 0 comments

Every since my dog got attacked by a skunk in November and had to be put down Ive kind of had a deep hatred for these black and white beast but this stamps is so cute im holding off on my hatred long enough to ink him up. This is the skunk from the Pun Fun set. Ive used this set probably 500 times this year alone. I love it!!!

I have loads of love for this set

Off with the Christmas cards and in with the Valentines day cards! I dont know about you but I was sick of just working with Christmas sets and was happy to be able to pull something else out for a change. I love this set (Loads of Love) its so versatile and fun to color ( or paper piece which is what I did here) . I stamped the truck image on pink paper with close to cocoa and cut out and mounted on whisper white using pop dots. I also did the same with the hearts from the Love is in the Air set (retired). 365 cards sketchy challenge

Posted by Lena Nunn at 8:37 AM 2 comments

I made this card for the sprINKles challenge which was to sponge some ink on your card and the 365 card challenge today which was to create a sketch and make a card to go with it. I made this sketch using paint. This is the Baby Jesus is Born set from Stampin' Up! I colored in the scene using watercolor pencils (im suprised they are not down to tiny numbs by now). I used a cheap sponge to sponge on Pacific point around the edges.

Clearly a better choice

Posted by Lena Nunn at 11:36 AM 0 comments

Starting on January 5, 2010, you will be able to purchase stamps with your choice of wood mount or clear mount. There will be blocks for sale, as well. They will now store in a DVD case made just for them. They even show the images on the spine. This is going to save so much room and they are going to be cheaper!! For those of you who dont like the totally clear stamps ( like me) dont worry theses are still red rubber ( the same as the wooden ones)!

I made this card for the SC257 on SCS and the todays challenge on Sprinkles. The images were embossed with a glittery blue embossing powder. The scallop punch and the eyelet border punch are both Stampin' Up!

I have to admit I've never used Kraft before unil a couple months ago. Now Its my Go-To Color. I love it because it matches with anything and everything. Last night I was up stamping late ( which is what I normally do) when I ran across this darling little image. I watercolored her using watercolor pencils and an aqua writer.

Card Patterns sunday sketch

Posted by Lena Nunn at 8:46 PM 1 comments

This is for Sundays sketch on Card Patterns. I loved making this pumpkin from top notes .it is a regular top note. Then you fold a piece of paper in half and put it closer to one of the edges to make a smaller one. Keep doing it closes and closer until you get the sizes you want . I then layered and sponged. Jimmy's Birthday Card

Posted by Lena Nunn at 8:44 AM 0 comments

My mom said as long as I was making my brother a birthday card would I mind making them one too. This is what I came up with. Ive only tried to brayer a couple times and have always had trouble with it so I was pretty hesitant to try it on this card but suprisingly I loved the results. I might have to do more!!! Sky was brayed with Stampin' Up! Summer sun, more mustard and really rust. Pond was watercolored in using night of navy and more mustard to give it a reflective look (hard to see in picture)

Dust Bunny Collector

Posted by Lena Nunn at 12:40 PM 0 comments

This image is so stinkin cute!!! And so fun to color! I made this card for a friend who loves to stamp as much as me ( yes it is possible if you work hard) . The sentiment is computer generated since I didnt have one that came with the girl.

There is no end to the uses of Pun Fun!

Posted by Lena Nunn at 12:23 PM 0 comments
I got the Pun Fun set with my starter kit and I still use it at least once a month. There is so many cute ways to use it and for so many occations. I made this card last night for a friend. Its kind of hard to see but the "whip cream" in the cups is puffy.

Red Hat Club Lady!

Posted by Lena Nunn at 12:20 PM 0 comments
When I got this image all I could think of was the red hat society so I decided to make a card for someone in that group. Ive had this hat paper for over a year! I dont even remember why I bought it (probably a sale or something). Anywhoo..even though Im not a red hat lady I loved the way this card turned out. Its so fun!

Too Much Bling!!!

Posted by Lena Nunn at 12:15 PM 0 comments
I made this card last night and when I was done with it I just wasnt happy. Maybe its all the bling on it. Maybe its just not as nice as the one I saw on SCS. I dont know but I do know I wasnt thrilled with the results. If you are, here is the recipe
Stamps: Baroque motifs ( a must have for any stamper)
Paper: Stampin' Up!
Rhinestones: Cant mention the brand according to SU new rules.

Watercolored Passion flowers

Posted by Lena Nunn at 9:03 AM 2 comments

Everyone who knows me, knows I love passion flowers. Now I dont think this stamp is really a passion flower but its the closest Ive ever found of one. This image was stamped on watercolor paper and colored with watercolor pencils and an aqua pen. The dots on the bottom are a dot embossing folder that I ran purple paper in and then sanded (because it had a white core and I wanted to see it) . Hope you like

Fall is in the air....

Posted by Lena Nunn at 9:01 AM 0 comments

Driving up the hill to my house I noticed some of the leaves are starting to change. This of course reminds me of fall and I had to make a Thanksgiving card complere with squirrel. I know the pic is kind of funky but I was using a cork board as a prop to hold it in good light.

Hook line and sinker!

Posted by Lena Nunn at 12:43 PM 1 comments
I made this card for the challenge on sprINKles today which is to make a card for your loved one . Everyone who knows my fiance and I , know that we are BIG into fishing so this stamp was pefect for that. Unfortunatly I didnt have a sentiment to go along so I hand wrote my own ( which is why this card is not that pretty!) He loved it though

Box with drawer # 2

Posted by Lena Nunn at 12:40 PM 0 comments
I made another box with a drawer for my friend. These are great for card sets or just embellishments and envelopes. The top holds about 10 cards (or 5 if they have tons of embellishments) and the bottom holds about 10 envolopes.
