Hi welcome to my blog! I hope your ready for some great projects today because we are showing off some awesome Phyllis Harris stamps from Unity. This line of stamps is so adorable and perfect for any occasion.
I used the stamp called The Heart of a BFF
Sometimes when I stamp I get my hubby to join and we do a battle of sorts. His vs hers. I got him to stamp this time with me so I'm also showing his card because I think its just so adorable.
Make sure you hop to the other Growing in Unity gals blogs to see what they have created with these wonderful stamps.

Sorry I did not post these sooner but usually I work from my phone (I live way up in the boonies and don't have regular internet up there) so I had to wait until I get to a good computer. First off thank you so much for those who read my post and commented. I loved each and every word you left me. Now onto the winners...

Today is my lasy day of Growing In Unity. I have tried to give you all some ideas on how to use your stamps on items other than just paper and making cards so for my last project I thought Why not candles? I make a lot of stamped candles. Around Christmas time I found these battery operated ones that are still made out of wax and I fell in love. For my candle project I used the stamp set Easier with You by My side
If you have never stamped on candles it is super simple. All you have to do is stamp on Tissue paper, color and then do a couple more steps and wham! Please forgive my less than great coloring as usually I use pencils but I wanted to try my new markers . These are not my instructions but they give you the run down on how its done.
Well Ladies and gents thats it for me. I hope you have enjoyed my projects. I really appreciate you stopping by and checking them out. Don't forget to comment as I will be drawing two names to win bags of 25 stamps.

Welcome to day 4 of my Growing in Unity week. I decided I wanted to bust out the old glass etching cream and some plates with my stamps. It is super simple to do and you can turn $1.00 plates into works of art.
If you have never etched glass before using stamps it is super simple. All you have to do is Stamp and heat emboss ( yes using embossing powder) the stamps you want onto the glass just like you would on paper. Then spread the etching cream over it. When you wash off the etching cream it also washes away the embossing and leaves the image where the embossing cream could not reach. Easy Peasy lemon squeezey! The only bad part about the glass etching is the cream smells like rotten eggs (gross!) and its hard to take good pictures of the glass when its done. Hope you can see it good enough. Thanks for checking out my projects and don't forget to comment so you have a chance to win a grab bag of 25 stamps!

Welcome to day three of my week of Growing In Unity! Today I worked on something that I am just getting into which is Bible Journaling.
I have seen ideas all over Pinterest and I wanted to give it a whirl. I used the Unity Set Devoted . Which is perfect for this. Did you know Unity makes more Bible Journaling sets?!? You can find them here.
With Bibles the best way I have found to use stamps since the pages are so thin is to use versamark and rub over it with a light colored chalk. Then go over it with markers or pencils. I made the mistake of just using a regular ink pad on one page and it bled through to the next. I can't wait to get more into this and record my thoughts and ideas and scriptures that move me. Hope you enjoyed this project of mine and don't forget to comment as you could just win a grab bag of 25 stamps at the end of my week.

Welcome to my week of Growing in Unity day 2. I have been sick with a really bad cold ( or heck it could be something worse because I refuse to go to the dr.) lately but tonight I felt a little better so I decided to pull out the shrink plastic. If you have have never played with shrink plastic you are missing out!!!! You can get it at almost any craft store now and usually in the card aisle. I decided to use my Unity stamp Shall we unWINEd
The stamp is pretty big so when you shrink it, it becomes the perfect size for a pair of earrings.
For those of you who have not used shrink plastic heres how it works.
You stamp your image on the plastic and you can either A) color it in then or B) color it after shrinking. On these earrings I chose to color after just because I wanted to try some new markers I got after the shrinking process. You then cut out image. If you need holes in your work for earrings or keychains or anything like that PUT THE HOLE IN NOW BEFORE SHRINKING! Shrinking can be done with either a heat gun or in the oven. I used to only do it with my heat gun but since then I have discovered that the oven works much better as the project does not curl up on itself. Hope this inspires you to make some shrinky art with your Unity stamps. Don't forget to comment as you might just be one of the lucky two I draw at the end of the week to win a grab bag of 25 stamps!!!

Hi! I am so excited for this week because I am a Growing in Unity Gal! Each day this week I will do a project featuring the awesome stamps of Unity and, those who know me know I have a TON of them.Keep Calm and Have a Beer Set
I colored the mug using my Prisma colored pencils . For the Foam on top of the mug I used puffy paint which you can get at almost any craft store. You just dab it where you want it and then heat with a heat gun. Easy peasy lemon squeezy right? Be sure to check in and leave comments on all my projects this week because at the end I get to choose two commenters to win grab bags of 25 stamps! How fun is that???

Its time to get to work on some Christmas cards. I always say that around July but it never happens until around now. The problem is I make a ton of Christmas cards every year, BUT they never go to my family and friends from me. I always make cards for people to send out themselves. I enjoy it , I really do but hopefully this year I actually make some for me to send out. I made this card last night using a Stampin' Up! background stamp called Christmas Collage. It is now retired :( . One card down , a million left to go .

I also have BIG news! I am now a Stampin' Up! Demo. . again. I did it a few years back and loved it but became inactive when my migraines and everything else started taking over my life. I am back now though and am doing much better. I missed my stampin friends and the products SU offer so I couldn't resist getting back in. I am doing an online party ( my first back) if any of you need anything. The link to the party is http://lena.stampinup.net and the hostess code is 7MGP9HAS . You can order anytime 24/7 from that link and the hostess code is only needed for this party. If you would like to host your own online party please contact me as the rewards are awesome and with this new hostess feature you can invite friends from other states even. I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you so much for supporting me.

Its been a long time since I've posted on here so its time to get back into the swing of things. I just reorganized all my stamps and got them labeled so things will go much smoother now. I'll post pics tomorrow of my new improved system but for now lets talk about this card. I made this for my mommy for mothers day as she loves flowers and butterflies. I hadn't broken out the butterfly die for awhile so I figured it was time to dust it off. She loved it! This gorgous paper ( love love love it!) is Stampin' Up! DSP but I don't know what the name of it is since it was given to me. If any of you know please let me know so I can get some more. So pretty. Well thanks for stopping by and sorry for being a stranger. I promise I'll do better.

Can you believe it, I was actually migraine free last night so I did some stamping! Its a miracle! I really wanted to ink up some of my new ( to me) stamps from My Favorite Things. I am on a kick with their stamps lately and I love the Whos That Girl series ( even though they retired most of them ..snivel). I just got this Choose Hope set and wanted to make a card for Breast Cancer awareness. Whats awesome about this set is is can be for any cancer if you just ink the ribbons in different colors. Love it! This set went great with this paper that I had from when I used to be a SU demo. I think its called Razzleberry Lemonade. I love how this card turned out and can't wait to use this set again.
